How it all started
Hi there! We are two guys from Malmö in the south of Sweden, Jens and Olof and we are behind the wonder known as Kaffepak. We started our company Machine and sons AB while developing Kaffepak and this is our story.
While riding our bikes together...
...with some of Malmös finest cyclists, we bonded over cycles, mechanics and engineering. A couple of beers later we discovered that we were both coffee geeks as well. Jens has worked in the specialty coffee industry since forever and with his background in mechanics and food, he is kick ass when it comes to solving problems - especially when it comes to coffee. Olof has a solid background as an electrical engineer and has developed many significant solutions in everything from the medical industry to IKEA. Together we became the super power team that is behind Kaffepak. And the rest is as they say history.
One day, our friends at our local roastery started telling us about the problems they faced in roasting and packing the fantastic coffee in our cups. After spitballing idéas they contracted us to develop a solution perfect for their purpose and size. We realised that their problems might be the same as other roasterys’ problems. And boy were we right! We’re now the proud suppliers to some of the brightest and the best amongst roasters in Scandinavia and we are happy and proud to be branching out. We can proudly say that our thousands and thousands of hours, countless beers and moments away from our families have resulted in one of the most fast and cost effective filling machine for quantities from 10-100 tons a year.
We like to think that we’ve created one of the simplest and most effective filling machines out there, and we are proud to be part of making every day a little easier for the small roasterys that we love.

The people
Jens Brine
A talented inventor, problem solver and product developer who has worked with some of the top brands in the industry. Jens is known in the community for his contribution in training baristas and judging barista competitions as well as his signature tampers. With a background in mechanics and machining as well as in the restaurant business and close to two decades in the speciality coffee industry, Jens brings a unique set of skills to the company.
Olof Huldt
A multi-disciplinary engineer operating in the field of concept development, mechanics, electronics and medical devices that became passionate about coffee 15 years ago. With his sharp set of skills and his wicked efficiency, Olof is happy to finally be able to work in an industry close to his heart.
